Welcome
I call myself The Occassional Audiophile because I
occassionaly perfectly triangulate myself in front of my speakers and listen to
the music intently, but I mostly listen to my music while I am multitasking. I
listen to CDs played on two identical 1999 Technics
SL-PD8 changers that
are connected to two identical
Schiit MODI+ DACs
via toslink cable, I will sometimes spin vinyl on my 1995
Tecnics
SL-1500 direct drive turntable,
but not very often. The heart and soul of my Hi-Fi system is
the Marantz model
2238B stereo receiver that my father bought new in 1977,
and the
bookshelf stereo speakers are
ADS models
L570/2 and
L780/2 made in the early
1980's.
My modest Hi-Fi system.
I visit a couple of Hi-Fi related web sites / forums and I also watch
a few different
YouTube channels on the subject. My two favorite channels are run by Kevin at
Skylabs
Audio and Randy at
Cheap Audio Man,
these two knowlegeable gentlemen produce entertaining and informative videos
that I enjoy
The next upgrade I have planned for my system.
